Ricardo Velasquez

Ricardo Velasquez
Ricardo joined Hassan Law in 2009 and since then has worked as a law clerk in our family law and civil department, mostly handling accident benefit claims and assisting with files especially for the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients. Ricardo’s technical and organizational skills allow him to work in many departments in our firm.
Ricardo is fluent in English and Spanish, and he has used these skills to volunteer as an interpreter at the Cross Cultural Learner Centre. Ricardo became a lawyer in his native Colombia in 2000 where he worked in Human Rights and Criminal Law. In the future, Ricardo is hoping to pursue a bridge training program in order to practice law in Canada.
Ricardo’s number one priority remains his family and friends. In his personal time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer, political reading and blogging, especially with his native countrymen.
