Job Title: 

Called to the Bar in 2016, Abeer graduated with an Honors Specialization in Social Justice and Peace Studies at King’s University College, University of Western Ontario, followed by her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. 

Abeer articled at the firm before returning as a full-time associate in 2017. She has focused her practice on Family Law and Wills and Estate Planning. 

Abeer’s commitment to her community is proven by her extensive volunteer experience. During law school she volunteered as the Co-Director of Marketing for Osgoode Peer Support and took on a role in the Osgoode Mentor Program where she regularly met with first year students to provide guidance and advice on the transition to Law School. Abeer also volunteered as an intake clerk for the Community & Legal Aid Services programme where she eventually was offered and accepted a paid position as the Administrative Law Division Leader, a role that honed her expertise in case development and client management. Abeer represented clients at hearings before boards and tribunals and effectively resolved several cases prior to hearings through written and oral negotiations with government offices. Along with casework, she was involved with educational outreach, community organization, and law reform initiatives.

Outside of practicing law, Abeer enjoys watching movies, traveling, playing board games and spending time with her family.
